Every plant is carefully packed by our small, plant-loving Bristol team using protective, mostly plastic-free packaging.

Occasionally, you may find reused bubble wrap – this has been donated to us, and we encourage you to reuse it too.

Orders are usually packed and dispatched within 2–4 working days. We may occasionally delay dispatch during periods of extreme weather to protect your plants. We always prioritise plant health over speed of delivery.

Delivery is £5 for any number of items, or free on orders over £60. We deliver across the UK only.

We also offer local, bike-powered delivery in Bristol for £5 via Pedal Collective, a gentler option for plants and the planet.

We believe in paying people fairly, that’s why we’ve been a Real Living Wage Employer from the very beginning. We’re an independent Bristol business, packing every order ourselves.

Supporting us means supporting fair work.

Part trowel, part weeder and part bulb planter – the Niwaki Hori Hori is a brilliantly versatile Japanese garden tool.

Made in Japan from tough S50C carbon steel with a beech handle, the Hori Hori is designed for digging, planting bulbs, weeding and generally getting stuck into the soil. The blade extends right into the handle for extra strength, making it a fantastic alternative to a traditional garden trowel for all sorts of jobs.

The pointed 167mm blade makes it particularly useful for working around roots, digging planting holes and tackling stubborn weeds. Despite its strength, it isn’t indestructible – rather than pushing it into heavy soil and levering backwards, use a slicing motion to work progressively through the ground.

Each Hori Hori comes with a tough canvas sheath to protect the blade when it’s not in use.

  • Blade Length: 167mm
  • Weight: 373g
  • Blade Material: S50C carbon steel
  • Handle: Beech
  • Includes: Canvas sheath
  • Made in: Japan
  • Best for: Planting, weeding, bulbs and digging

Age Restricted Product: By law, we are not permitted to sell a knife or blade to anyone under the age of 18. By purchasing this product, you are confirming that you are aged 18 or over. Please use responsibly and appropriately.

Please be aware of UK laws around carrying bladed tools in public. When transporting your Hori Hori, we recommend keeping it sheathed, concealed and safely stored in a gardening bag or toolbox.
